From September 9th to October 7th, 2011 Bright Art Gallery is showcasing a unique exhibition of modern Aboriginal paintings in an exhibition titled “Time and Place”.

2011 SPRING NEWSLETTER

Stunning Aboriginal Art Exhibition in Bright
The exhibition includes works by Victorian Aboriginal artists, as well as works from an exceptional Ngukurr Collection, representing artists from the Roper River area in the Northern Territory.
The gallery is privileged to be able to present an exhibition of such quality. Well-known artist Billy Doolan is opening the exhibition. He has recently appeared on ABC television talking about his remarkable journeys to Italy. The Italian Government has funded a travelling exhibition titled Dreamtime that showcases Billy’s unique art together with other Aboriginal artists, many of whom are represented in Time and Place.
This exhibition showcases a variety of Aboriginal art developed over the past 30 years from across Australia. Each artist represented has unique stories and style. Hence the title “Time and Place”.
