Premium cottage -opened 30th October 2009

abalina on cobden is our highest standard of accommodation (16.5 squares) for one to two couples and a single  or  3 singles. It is set up for adults only  (16 and over) although couples with a baby (not crawling and in their own cot) will find it also suitable.

Superior luxury townhome

abalina-on-thompson is our largest accommodation (over 18 squares) and includes a double garage with 2 car spaces in front. great for those wanting a bit extra room.

Luxury 4.5 star accommodation

abalina 1 and 2-on-rotary form a boutique development of only 2 cottages often taken by groups travelling together. They are 13.5 squares each.

Information to help you select the right accommodation to best met your needs

Couple only: abalina 1-on-rotary or abalina-on-cobden first if available. One couple can use two bedrooms and two bathrooms at no extra charge. However, abalina 3-on-thompson being the largest accommodation has a price set for 4 - 6 guests, unless the other two are fully booked then it drops back to the twin share rate.

One couple and a baby: abalina 1 on rotary and abalina-on-cobden have additional space in the third bedroom. for a cot. All cottages  have baths; the Rotary Drive cottages have shower baths. Premium abalina-on-cobden alsohas a shower bath. Families have found that a cot sits well in the large laundry which has blinds to keep the room dark in abalina-on-thompson.

One couple and a toddler: abalina 1 and 2-on-rotary  each have a large paved fully enclosed sunny courtyard. abalina-on-thompson has a smaller paved sunny area. All cottages have secure rear courtyards.

Two couples: In abalina 1-on-rotary and abalina-on-cobden,, the second bathroom can  be closed to form a second ensuite.

Five - six adults: abalina  3-on-thompson offers the largest accommodation space with lounge seating for 6, dining seating for 8, a more spacious living area, larger outdoor dining area and bigger bedrooms. It has a double garage and two car spaces. (if abalina on thompson is already booked, please note that abalina 2-on rotary also sleeps 6). 

Family with older children:  abalina on-thompson  has the largest accommodation space, with lounge seating for 6, dining seating for 8, and a larger outdoor dining area.

Those wanting a wood heater:  abalina 1 and 2-on-rotary  have wood heatesr (temperature control in accommodation is achieved by easy-care, reverse cycle air conditioning, wall panel heaters and ceiling fans.) abalina-on-cobden has a trendy gas log fire.

Those wanting a bath: -abalina-on-thompson  has a separate deep bath;  the Rotary cottages have shower baths. abalina-on-cobden has a single spa bath (shower bath).

Best natural light (in summer) and sun in winter: abalina 2-on-rotary 

Honeymoon: abalina 1-on-rotary  or the more luxurious abalina-on-cobden.

Special needs: abalina 1-on-rotary has an access report completed click here. However abalina 2-on-rotary has excellent light for the visually impaired. Recently (May, 2009) we had a guest who is legally blind but, after all the blinds were opened, her adult children excitedly told us  that she was able to see sufficiently to make her way round the living area.

Those wanting superior luxury - all cottages offer 4.5 star or above luxury. abalina-on-cobden however, is our premium cottage.
