River Pools
We also have river pools at Porepunkah and Bright. Both are fed by the Ovens River. Water quality is monitored and the pools are closed when quality is not acceptable. Over Xmas to early March there are afternoon periods where the river pools are supervised by a life guard. .

Bright river pool (on the river in town) is supervised daily from 12 noon to 6pm.
Large water slide into the river
There is also a large water slide run by the Rotary Club of Bright than runs from early afternoon throughout the Janaury school holidays. 2011 opened 4th January.
Hire kayaks at Lake Catani at Mt Buffalo (35 mins from Bright)

$20 for a single kayak for half a day and $30 for a full day
8.30am - 9.30am to pick kayak up for morning hire and 11.30am - 12.30am to pick canoe up for afternoon hire.Hire rates include safety gear
