Terms and Conditions for our Bright accommodation

Generally, only full weekends can be booked

Where only a Friday or a Saturday night is required, please ask before completing an online booking. Our terms are that full weekends are only available and this arrangement can only be varied by phone or email.

No pets

Unfortunately we do not take pets but can recommend others that do.

Number of guests per cottage

abalina on cobden sleeps 4 adults, abalina 1-on-rotary sleeps 5 guests while abalina 2-on rotary and abalina on-thompson sleep up  to 6 guests. These numbers do not include one child under two in their own cot.

Breakfast

Breakfast is an add-on service. The breakfast price is $30  and consists of natural muesli and Sustain, 2 litres of orange juice, 2 litres of 2% fat milk, yoghurt, cling peaches, loaf of raisin toast or bread, jam and butter. This may be varied to suit tastes.

Deposits and Full Payment

A deposit of 50% of the total tariff is to be paid by credit card or Internet transfer to secure the booking. However, if the booking is being made more than 6 months in advance, please phone to organise a smaller deposit (one night tariff). The balance of the deposit then is required 3 months in advance of the booked date of arrival. We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not accept American Express or Diners Card.  Full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival. If paying by cheque, cheques are to deposited the next day into abalina cottages account. If full payment is not received 30 days prior to arrival, the host reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Host may move you to another 4.5 star abalina ottage

In order to facilitate bookings, on a rare occasion, your host may move you to one of our other 4.5 star abalina cottages. Guests would be contacted before this happens.

Cancellation and Refunds

Provided that a cancellation occurs more than 30 days prior to the booked date of arrival, the deposit (i.e. 50% of the total tariff) is refundable, less a $50.00 administration levy.

If a cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to the due date of arrival, we will endeavour to re-book the accommodation. If successful, the full payment/deposit will be refunded, less the $50 administration fee. If not, unfortunately there will be no refund and the full payment will be required before a transfer to another date can be made.

Transfers cannot be made from peak and popular periods such as The Hot Rod Weekend, long weekends, Melbourne Cup, Easter, Christmas, January and July. If a rebooking does not occur for these dates, there wil be no refund.

If the balance payment is not received 30 days prior to arrival, the host reserves the right to cancel the booking. The deposit will only be refunded if a successful booking is made (less $50 administration fee).

Minimum Night Bookings

Check-In and Check-Out Times

Check-in from 3pm and check-out before 11am.

 

Booked Rates to be reduced when new specials offered

Where a new standard special comes into play, the host wil contact guests with exisitng bookings to advise of a rate reduction or other enhancement to their booking (a refund will be given or the balance reduced on the final payment). This does not include last minute specials. if there is a price rise, the booking rate remains as per the original price. Clients should have every confidence that, with online bookings, they will be given the best published rate by the time they arrive

 

Smoking 

The interiors of abalina cottages are smoke free; however, guests may smoke out-of-doors, in the courtyard.

 

Damage Policy


While we acknowledge that accidents can happen, any breakage or damage is the guest's responsibility and may be charged for.

Software Error

Should a booking be made where the software total is in error and contrary to the declared rates, the host reserves the right to cancel the booking if the guest does not want to pay the actual rate as declared on the website. A full refund will be made with no cancellation fee charged.

 

Conditions of specials

In offering specials, it is expected that guests clean the kitchen and dining areas and return all items to their original position. The hosts reserve the right to decline these specials to return guests who did not follow these cleaning requirements.
