The Brighter days festival was held over the three days of the March long weekend and was a huge success. This years Brighter Days Festival started on the Friday with the Cotton Ball Run - A car and motorcycle rally departing from Whittlesea, north of Melbourne and traveling to Bright. The Alpine Hotel Stage, in Mafeking Square kicked off the weekend entertainment with free live music from 5pm. The Festival continued early on Saturday morning with the Make it, Bake it, Grow it Market in Howitt Park. Live music kicked off on the Riverstage from 10am until 10pm.
